Can this be run off a Fiio E10k directly, without having an amp? I'm using the HD58x at about <30% volume on the Fiio dac.

AnjanakrishnanFiio E10K has amp built in. Per spec, yes, it will work.

AnjanakrishnanYes, but keep in mind that entry-level products won’t perform at the same level as a higher end setup (such as our HDV 820 DAC/amp or the Apogee Groove we have sold as a bundled option with our HD 650).

SennheiserWell, the HDV 820 is quite expensive. But I've heard HD660S on it at an audio show and it sounded amazing! You guys should do a more budget friendly version for the excellent HD560S (thanks for that one! :) and the 600 range.
