I bought the K7XX and TH-X00 (mahogany) on their first drops and both were just fine. there was an issue with bubble wrap imprints on the TH-X00 purplehearts (which I did not purchase). The pictures of these marks looked pretty faint, but it made for some unhappy customers.

This headphone is made in Ireland not China from same factory Sennheiser gets their HD650. So you can expect high QC levels from experienced workers.

There are several "tiers" of labour quality in China and elsewhere, so that isn't definitive. As for the "second one" - I meant the next time these drop (I'm sure this won't be a one off) - I want to read some impressions first, moreover I jumped in the current K7XX drop.
