is the clamping force on these going to be the same as the HD650? I'm asking because I only have the 650 to reference and I hated the clamping force on those.
For the 600/650/6XXs, you can bend the metal part of the headband to lessen the clamping force. Extend the headband all the way and slowly bend just the metal part outward. Make sure not to bend the plastic part of the headband because you might crack the plastic. Adjust it a little at a time so you don't widen it too much.
Once I did this with my HD 650s, they were a lot more comfortable.
From what I read from reviews, they do have fairly tight headband.
I found my HD650's to be uncomfortably tight at first, but they did loosen up over time, so they're pretty comfortable now.... or you could just bend them as suggested by jxliu
Do not try to bend the 600's. That is bad advice. It is a hard plastic that can easily snap if you're used to bending headphones. Just extend it and live with it for a while on your head, you'll adjust and it will also loosen up with time to become comfortable. My 600s were strong clamp at first but now they're much looser after about a month
