Headphones are starting to become an expensive hobby here on MD. So far i have the THX00 and the HE350's, and now will definitely be going for the HD6XX, at that price. Wont know what to use after this pair.

Maybe sell other two get hd6xx and get a nice tube amp. It will be glorious sounds.

I already have a Aune T1 MK1 tube amp, you think that will work well with the HD6XX? Maybe save myself a bit of cash for now, but your right, selling the other 2 might be a way out, but then again...decisions, decisions, especially if MD get a HD8XX going next year.

I had HD650 and HD800 they are different headphones. I would not say one is better then other with all honesty. HD800 has more detail is brighter and overall more refined. HD650 more musical more bass, lighter and still amazing level of detail. For $200 a no brainer. HD800 is $1000 and offers maybe 5% improvement over HD650. Your T1 MK1 will do a good job with 6xx.

yea HD600 or HD650 (6XX) are so good that there is no point going with anything else. If you have $1000 to burn at that point Id get some kick ass studio monitors or bookshelf speakers. By end of day speakers win. But for $200 HD6xx win.
