The print looks a bit cheap with the big and thick font. Is it the same for the K7XX and TH-X00?

Does it look like it can be peeled off? I have a feeling a lot of people would want to do that with how out of place it looks.

"the Massdrop logo is silk-screened on the inside of the headband, just above the right cup, with the serial number located just above the left cup"

I'll be honest, I wasn't really expecting that. It would have been nice though. What we got doesn't really bother me though.

All those discussions and arguments on who gets the small serial numbers just for them to be simple stickers, lol.

you mentioned that you thought the SN will be engraved, although the description clearly states that they are silk-screened similar to the logo..
how is the build though? how is the clamping strength? thanks!

Only the Massdrop logo is silk-screened though. They didn't mention anything about the serial number and it ended up being a sticker

Yup. I have been collecting limited editions for a long time., Star Trek action figures, Alien statues, Blu-rays, books, you name it. They have all come with a simple sticker or the number was hand written on the piece. I have never purchased an item with the number engraved. I can only imagine that would be very expensive to produce. I think were lucky to get our headphones numbered. They could have simply said the run was limited to 5000 without serial numbering each set.

i agree, having these serialized as they are makes them a little special on their own little way

aw, was under the impression it was silk-screened, I would prefer that it was silk-screened over a sticker >.<
but as long as the build is solid, I am happy
the color is a bonus too as I was hoping it will be as dark as possible :)

Silkscreen a serial number? Really not something any company could do. Serial numbers are traditionally printed stickers, or added onto existing product labels (written or typed). The only other way to serialize items would be some form of etching, such as laser marking. However, it isn't very useful on dark plastics, nor economical unless absolutely necessary on an item (hard-use surfaces, medical/cleanroom devices, precision mating surfaces, etc).

Personally I don't mind the stick, but at least don't make it that big and that "in your face". I like the way they do the Mee Pinnacle P1 serial, which is engraved on a metal plate attached to the case. It's more subtle that way. If you're gonna have a sticker, might as put it in the hinged box
