I'd love for this drop to be run again. The shirt comes up regularly, but no love for the pants?

I Thought this drop was going to end in 14 more days. I didn't place my order as I was waiting to have my question about sizing answered.

Good Day, Will these Wind pants will also used as rain pants (water resistance) to protect from rain drops? I wonder if It's a "must have" for hiking on my backpack or should I purchase a budget rain pants such as  Marmot PreCip Thx :)

Joseph07The Marmot PreCip is made from a 2.5 layer fabric that has a 10k JIS-L 1092 rating. No wind pant on the planet is spec'ed out at that level, as they are designed to be wind pants, no rain pants. Two different products for two different purposes.

Okay, grumpy tall man here. I've grumbled for years about lack of tall sizes, so one more time here goes! Need tall sizes, it's an extra inch or two of fabric, when Massdrop does a proprietary drop, please add tall sizes. For example, large with a 35 or 36" inseam, or an unfinished option! My two cents, and BTW I do own the windshell, really wish the pants were available!!

Hi Kim, Thanks for making these pants. It saves me from having to re-sew and DWR the Wal-Mart wind pants I modified to see what features I needed and what I didn't in a wind pant. BTW I'm Greg2's brother, so as it turns out these are the exact pants I've been looking for. I have a quick question about the cut before I chose a size. I have big calves. What is the circumference of the leg, mid calf in an XL? Thanks, Brad

"We've developed this proprietary fabric specifically with improved breathability as compared to other wind jackets and pants on the market"... such as what? 11 CFM isn't particularly great—a Houdini is 10 CFM and good luck running like pictured in one of those. Montbell Dynamos are only $10 more than this and are lighter, likely more "breathable", available immediately and not god-knows-when like these, and come from a far more reliable company.

ComfortablyNumbYou are right in the price, cfm, and availability of the Dynamo's over the Veils. However, in defense of the Veil fabric, it is more durable than the 12d rip-stop nylon of the Dynamo pants, so those folks that have had issues with durability of the Dynamo's should find the Veil pants to be an awesome option, as they are pretty much identical in regards to features. btw, as I have written about in the past, the dynamo fabric has a tested cfm of 9.72, so it is not all that far away from the reported 11 of the Veil.

I got the Veil jacket but I'm a lot less clear on the use case for wind pants. Extra warmth on the trail is more useful on core and head rather than legs. If you really need extra weather protection on the legs it seems rather likely you're dealing with something wet, and rain pants aren't as much of a perspiration worry as waterproof jackets are. Maybe part of it is that I don't wear shorts as much as the target audience does.

Plenty of condescending attitude there, but zero reasoning and zero ideas.

Never in my hikes have I had a thought towards or desire for thin, baggy pants to pull tight and zipper around my legs to "protect from wind". I can't help but agree with RayF on this one. I can think of several better uses for my 60 bucks, but hey, there's emphasis on "my". Hope those who buy into this find good use out of it.
