Received my watch and it doesn't work. I shouldn't have to service a watch I just paid for. Multiple requests to Massdrop support have so far gone unanswered.

LapYodaTissot Tradition. I'm fine with the watch if it worked. After posting here, I got a response. The response was "A few other members have reported similar issues and we are in the process of determining the cause. We greatly appreciate your patience in the mean time. We will be in touch as soon as we have more information available." To me this is unacceptable. The cause is Massdrop's issue, not mine. I ordered a product and it is defective.

sandspurWhat's wrong with it? A defective Quartz is quite rare.

sandspurI heard another member that received the same watch said it did not have a battery. It's a quartz so it won't work without one. Why would they ship it like that? I received the same one. I'm out of town but my wife said it's not working either. Who did you email about it?

JlczlI filled a support ticket (actually 2 of them). I haven't opened it up and I am not going to. For that much money I feel I should receive a watch (especially a quartz at that price) that is working when I get it. I shouldn't have to take it to someone for any kind of service when I first receive it. I'm giving them until Friday to resolve it and then I will have to file a claim with my credit card company. I honestly expected a better response.

JlczlNo. This is really poor customer service on their part. I've purchased many things from massdrop but this is making me reconsider any future purchases

sandspurThis is weird because I had issues with my purchase as well and I received a response, on Sunday afternoon, within less than an hour. Sorry fella. I hope this is just a blip in service.

sandspurDang. Come to think of it I havent heard back for a week either but I just kind of figured they were handling it. Maybe once everyone has received and all issues are compiled they will handle each with distributors? that seems like the smart thing to do... and I am choosing to believe that is whats happening. Sorry though fella.

russsertRussert, I'd reach out again. They just send me a return label. You shouldn't need to wait while they handle business on their end. That isn't how returns work. If I buy a bad battery at Walmart, I don't wait while Walmart contacts the manufacturer to determine why they have a defect before I can return the item.

russsertDid you also receive a Tissot without a battery? I was offered a return label as well but I'm not sure if I want to return it or just suck it up and put a battery in it. It was still a good deal at $139 for a watch that retails at $375 and is at cheapest for $250 on Amazon.

JlczlNo Mine was a Hamilton Pan Europ. The warranty card was not stamped so... its useless really. And there was supposed to be a watch strap tool included but the space for it was empty. I just emailed the person I talked to last week so well see what they say.... I too, dont really want to return it. I just want the tool and the warranty card. Seems like a simple thing for a watch that is supposed to be new. Haha I know stuff happens though and I should be grateful. I only paid 100 for a $700 watch!

russserti bought some victorinox from md few years back and it also had blank warranty card, and as it happened the watch was loosing few minutes every few days and it was quartz, we contacted victorinox about it and they couldn't do anything about it without propper warranty card... so i sold the watch on ebay for a steal
