Well, I received my 10x7x6 2.1 lb $250 tier box....
I can’t really be disappointed as I got more value than I paid for it. The whole mystery box experience was a lot of fun. I’d do it again... That said, this Tissot Le Locle really isn’t my style. If anyone is interested in trade or purchasing it please email me at joho75287 at yahoo dot com
johoabCongrats! Good lookin' watch! Hey, it could have been worse. I'm sure you will get more back than the $250 you paid. Out of curiosity, did the Tissot box fill up the 10x7x6 packaging? Especially the height part (6 in). Thanks!
johoabThanks for taking that picture, I appreciate it. Well, I guess that throws the whole dimensions theory out the window! In my case, they probably just ran out of 10x7x6 boxes since so many were sent out! Based on what you and a couple of other guys' posts, I probably got a Tissot too..just in a 9x9x9 box! There was a 8% chance anyways. Thanks again!
goofydanishThe Tissots come with a fairly heavy presentation box and a couple of thick manuals. (one is the history of Tissot) so that adds to the weight... It seems the Glycines weigh in at about 2lbs as well.
I hope you get something good!
johoabThanks for the information. Yeah, I never win on lotteries or raffles so my hopes are not high. The 9x9x9 did throw me off, since I only know of one other person in the $250 tier that has those dimensions (I'm actually a tier down @ $150). I'll be out of town when my "mystery" watch arrives so I asked my wife to video conference me for the unveiling... She just shook her head and laughed at me. I haven't anticipated a package like this since I was a kid during Christmas - I would say I'm almost obsessed! However, its been fun!
goofydanishmine was listed as 9x9x9 2.2 lbs, but then it changed to 10x7x6 2.0 lbs. Sounds like I'm in the same boat. Mine won't be delivered until the 12th though.
BirthdayBoyWow, that's the exact opposite of what happened to me - mine was listed at 10 x 7 x 6 @ 2.1 lbs and then it changed to 9 x 9 x 9 @ 2.1 lbs when it shipped! What tier are you in?
BirthdayBoyMine actually started at 10x7x6 and 2.3lbs then went to 9x9x9 and down to 2.1 lbs then switched back to 10x7x6 and stayed at 2.1 lbs. If you try to figure it out too much, it’ll make you crazy!! Lol
johoabGeez, it almost seems like someone at MD is just messin' with all of us especially once they saw all that talk about dimensions in discussion forum. At this point, I'm almost certain that I will be getting a Tissot (from the $150 tier). I guess I'll just have to wait until it gets here to know for sure...
