I hate beating a dead horse over and over again but seeing all these recent posts is like a constant sprinkle of salt in my wounds. Kudos to those of you that received top shelf watches or at least watches you enjoyed. For those of you that are complaining about receiving perfectly good (men's) watches well within the price tier you paid for, just be glad you did not receive a watch you can't even wear, a women's watch - Victorinox 241556, a watch that was not even listed on MD's drop list for the $150 tier. Have I considered selling it? It's not worth my time - all recent sales on eBay falls well short of $140 and the market for women's watches is a lot smaller than men's watches. MD Customer service: "I am sorry to hear about the confusion in this situation. I was able to do a bit of investigative work and I see what happened here. The original drop page for this watch can be found here: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/45240. This drop page has been replaced with the one you mentioned (https://www.massdrop.com/buy/victorinox-dive-master-500-mid-size-quartz-watch.) We do understand the confusion in this situation."  If you search for 241556, 4 out of 5 sites label it as a women's watch. Be glad with your Seiko's or Bulovas, Victorinox (for men), Glycine's etc. Be glad that after days and days of waiting in anticipation and having your wife video conference you for the unveiling that you weren't utterly disappointed with a white strapped 38mm women's watch. I am sending this watch back to MD but I've tried many unsuccessful attempts at getting them to replace it with another watch within the $150 tier - they claim to be out of stock yet they have several watches that were actually listed on the $150 tier as current drops (a couple more have expired): https://www.massdrop.com/buy/seiko-sea-urchin-snzf-watch
https://www.massdrop.com/buy/fiyta-photographer-collection-automatic-watch Due to the success of this drop, I am sure MD will bring back the Watch Mystery Box but I, for one, won't be participating in it or any other Massdrop's going forward. Yes, perhaps you will have a chance at getting a Breitling, an Oris, or some other top shelf watch, but you will have a better chance at getting a watch you don't want or even worse, a ladies watch you can't wear...and that utter feeling of disappointment and frustration - you'll get that too, free of charge.

goofydanishIt's called gambling, there has to be losers. Some lose more than others.

RayFYes but like gambling, there are rules. I wouldn't have cared if I actually received a watch on the MD drop list for the $150 tier. The watch I received, a woman's watch, was not listed and part of the drop.

goofydanishIf you can convince MD Customer Service to see it from your angle, perhaps they'll help you out, but I'm not sure they feel obligated under the rules of this "game". That said, I've never been disappointed when I needed their help As for the gambling (game of chance) you bought into--you have to know who you're gambling with and who sets the rules. Around here, they can vary--there's no Gambling Commission to set those rules and audit compliance. I'll admit, I'm a bit more cynical than the average bear, but I could see there was going to be trouble with this con from the get go. I'm not implying this was a full-on Bernie Madoff scheme, but one has to remember--MD holds, cuts, shuffles and deals all the cards in this Casino.
