If you worked with computers in the 1980s, there’s a good chance you used an Apple IIe. One of the most popular home computers ever made, it laid the foundation for the PC as we know it today, and helped spur Apple onto the worldwide stage. And though it was popular in the ‘80s, it wasn’t until 2015 that designer admgc came up with a keycap set honoring the legendary machine. Today—following some key updates from community members Harlw and Oblotzky—SA Green Screen is born. Comprising beige modifiers and dark gray alphas with either apple-green or amber legends, SA Green Screen captures what it was like to operate the iconic Apple IIe computer.
