I think we can get an r2r-11 with a ladder dac and amp together for $380 with shipping at audio-gd.
Is there an advantage for having a stand alone ladder dac instead of a combo?
the r2r-11 is a beast but really big.. if u need an amp too then the 11 is the way to go.
i suspect some audiophiles may prefer their dacs in seperate chassis? This is great for those of that have plenty of amps and want to own a multibit :)
Most people think that the Audio-GD R-2R DACs sound bad. Supposedly much worse than their typical product. Havent heard it myself though, but I do love my NFB1-DAC
Really? I actually heard the opposite. Some say the DAC actually makes their music sound smoother and more natural. What makes their R2R DAC sound bad compared to for example the NFB11.28 Sabre DAC?
