Im not a huge audiophile, but these do have a really nice soundstage. Even in stereo mode for gaming they offer decent immersion and locational sound. For music they're quire well balanced. I knpw someone said their bass was a bit ped up, but I feel like they kinda needed that. I compared them to my HD 558s (Quite a huge performance difference I know) but I immediately noticed the difference in bass. I"d recommend these to anyone wanting to have a PC dedicated pair of headphones. These would make awful portable headphones however. And I would recommend you buy these if you have an amp or plan on getting one. I had to go without mine for a few weeks. It broke on me. So I was stuck with onboard soundcard, and it was a bit distorted and blurry sounding.
