Can I just ask what happened to the K7XX being a limited edition of 6,000 units. They have now sold 10,000. Is the K7XX no longer limited edition? I love my 7XX's and a part of me is happy to think they will continue to be sold, in case my set die, but another part of me was stoked to know there were only going to be 6,000 pairs in existence.

Was a starting run of 6000 first editions. After that was limited edition, in thousands of pairs.

It's just marketing lingo to make it sound exclusive and exotic so people feel special and go buy it. When companies make items that are a one time only and its gone forever item its usually called a limited run. Kinda like the early 90's Sennheiser Orpheus
