im considering buying these and i have heard these are great headphones but i have one problem. I use onboard audio from an old asus motherboard and it hisses like crazy. I need an usb based (i cant waste a pcie slot) something to run(preferably crystal clear) this headphone and my stero speakers any reccomendations?(i cant go higher than 250dollars)

You could technically, but an amp would be recommended. You know, to control the volume and such.

but i dont think magni 2 has enough outputs to have speakers and headphones+(what do you think about asus u7 its very cheap and uses an usb connection which i suppose could help with the additional hissing that would come from an analog cable connection)

Magni 2 doesn't, right. For that you'd have to buy the Magni 2 Uber, which would still fit in your $250 budget. It has pre outs for your speakers, so you can control the volume on the Magni. Or just use a RCA splitter cable on the Modi. I don't have experience with the U7, it should work just fine though. Any decent amp/dac combo will do against hissy onboard. ;)

so you are saying that buy a modi 2+an magni 2 uber for the quality if not buy an adapter for modi 2 and asus u7 if i dont have the money. tx for the advice i really needed it(i will probably buy the u7 because of the cheap factor)

IMO the u7 has no dynamic. If you just want to hear music trough it you should pick another DAC. If you just want to play Games and just want to hear where the opponents are then pick the U7. If tested the Fiio 10k and the U7. I picked the Fiio because its a bit brighter than the U7, and the fiio makes just more fun than the u7. The U7 is not bad, im not saying that, but I think the Fiio e10k would be the better option in that price category.
Excuse me for possible mistakes. Feel free to correct me.

i mostly play games that depend heavily on surrond sound but i do appreciate good music and my onboard audio has a terrible hissing sound. Im going to buy something for these reasons and i cant use a pcie slot and i icant go over 150 dollars.Hope this clears my problem and thank you for all the help(btw i looked at the fiio you cant hook speakers to that)
