I am pumped up to receive these. Never have owned a nice set of headphones before. Anyone have a good suggestion for an amp for gaming?

I'm honestly not impressed with these yet. Let em burn in for 8 hours and still not excited running them through a mixamp but I know mixamps are not great. My magni was supposed to be here today as well but unfortunately was not. I'll be side by siding a magni and a creative g5 in the next couple days to see if my opinion changes and after they've had more burn in time.

It may take a minimum of 30 - 60 hours until the tone begins to ripen and the space clears up a bit. They still reveal a slight ambient diffusion, or bass sparkle if you will after that, but I think this is the signature.

Yeah, I try not to pass judgment until at least the 50hr mark for any piece of audio equipment really. My 2.1 setup didn't sound great for around 100 hrs but now sounds amazing.

G5>magni for these headphones IMO. Headphones had 70hrs break in before doing active listening. The magni may sound great with a slightly warmer can but man... The magni +k7xx combo was just bad. I found th e upper mids to highs just plain painful. Any music with lots of cymbal work and electric guitar was near unlistenable. Again I do like a sharper (but not overly abrasive) upper end but the combo was just too much. Also the g5 brought out more detail in the lower end. While that could mean less neatral, I will take less neutral if it means more detail. Songs with a less pronounced bass guitar the magni was unable to tell which notes were actually playing while the g5 I could tell what was being played instead of just "there's a bass guitar". I had to return my e5 for the g5 (both sound identical) because I could not get the e5 to work with any mic. The headphones do sound amazing with breakin, proper pairing and possibly could sound much better with a properly paired better amp. For my budget I'm very satisfied with the k7xx+g5 purchase.

I'm not sure if it hated my machine or win10 or what. I only use it as a desktop HP amp so the g5 serves the same purpose to me.
