OK...opinion needed...should I buy these headphones? Generally I'm looking for a solid competition grade gaming headphone that I can also use for at home music listening. Would be great to get something I can also use at work and on mobile but understand driving certain headphones will be difficult. I listen to everything from Ella to EDM. Most important thing for me is gaming. Have an Audioengine D1 at home that should be able to drive these (and others) well. Should I purchase these or just purchase the K712, Q701, AD700x (or higher), or Sennheiser HD 598s. Also like the Fidelios X2s and Shure 1840/1540s. Would love to get your thoughts as I am majorly conflicted. Note - these will be my first Audiophile level headphones. Purchased the Audioengine A5+ for my computer set up and am in love!

Yeah man K7KKs are phenomenal. I downgraded from HE-500s and these were still phenomenal. Great for gaming too, did a lot of CSGO with em and they were great. I'd recommend these, HD600s or HD650s at this price point! You certainly won't be disappointed with these though bro

I certainly wouldn't spend more than half the same money on anything else from AKG "7" series. Way more comfortable than the Q (these have $100 memory foam pads and flat headband, the Q's do not), and they sound identical to the K712, to my ears... I kept both the K7XX and the K712 for over a month before I sold the K712.
