I've never gotten a good pair of headphones. The top of the line for me were probably some trash I picked up at bestbuy. (Skullcandy earphones?)I don't even know where that went. As a dubstep lover and pretty big gamer CS:GO, etc, I've always wanted to get a more immersive experience for music and hear better in my games. I went to best buy to pick up something decent for gaming like Razer Krakens. Then I thought those weren't that good for listening to music. So I looked for something better until I came across this (I frequent massdrop for pens sales and cameras). Should I pick this up? Is there something 'audiophile' I'm missing?

Audiophile is really just clarity, purpose, and presentation. It is a desire to be immersed in the experience of music, to experience with great clarity and presence what is possible in the world of sound. There is no right way to move, except through what moves you.

probably not...it's open-back so unless people living with you don't mind hearing bomb explosions and trash talk from a casual game of CS:GO then maybe.
