Which horse's ass do they pull out the 649.99 msrp price from? What a con to give people the impression that they are getting a great deal. Looks like Massdrop aren't averse to bulls hitting the masses for some pocket money.

It's nothing like that. Will even said himself that that was an arbitrarily chosen number -- MSRP isn't supposed to mean jack shit, but these cans are definitely worth at least $200.
Just FWIW, I joined on the K7XX drop in black almost a year ago, and they're still going pretty solid.

An awfully antagonistic opinion considering it's false. You do know Massdrop buys these products in bulk from the manufacturer for just enough to make a little profit? You should really do some research before having such an hostile opinion. On the other hand, I got to ask. Why are you so agressive over as Massdrop deal? Is it just your tilted because you can't afford to pay $199.99 for a pair of beginner audiophile headphones? Good fun.

I do think it would be 'cooler' of Massdrop to compare their prices to the average street price. The K712s are consistently in the $335-345 range on Amazon. That's still an awesome savings. To state "The group is saving a total of $237,149.00" for the last black K7XX drop isn't very honest. But, sure am looking forward to receiving mine!

Well, without getting into drivers, it definitely has more bass (I have owned 702, 712, and Annies) than the 702, perhaps mostly due to the memory foam pads, which would cost you about $80 from AKG to add to the 702s.

well, I'd start with a quick Amazon search for K712s; maybe that's where they got the, how did you so eloquently put it? ...something about the anus of a equus ferus caballus
