Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Im not sure what I did wrong to make it mess up like that as I've always taken good care of it, ive had it for about 2 years and its always just been chilling on my desk, but anywho I thought the cable just went bad and ordered a replacement. The replacement came, and the issue is still persistant, so I am not sure what the issue is I've tried multiple different headsets and the issue is not with the port, and I also tried it with my windows laptop and...

As far as looks/build goes, I was initially worried that these would look/feel cheap as it is all plastic and the red might look tacky. I'm glad to say that's not the case. The pictures definitely don't do it justice I feel. I was torn between these and the black on black one, but now that I've seen the red one in person, I'd pick this one 10 times out of 10. The black plastic is matte, they look almost rubberized. The red accents are also nice on the cups and the headband. AKG seems to make very attractive looking headphones. The cables are detachable which is nice, but it terminates in mini-XLR, which are harder to replace. I guess harder to replace beats no replacing at all though. The cables are good, not as thick as other pairs like the HD598 or M50X, but not as flimsy or annoying like the AD900X. Comfort wise...amazing, even compared to my ATH-AD900X. The pads are soft and thick (almost as thick as brainwavz!). The padding between the surface of the pad and the driver is also unusually thick. The headband adjustment system is great and the leather band basically disappears and you won't feel them on your head after a while. The problem with the AD900X was that the earcups did not swivel, so rather than sealing properly around your ears, they angled up slightly and causes a slight discomfort (although I feel it is still very comfortable). Also, while the wing system in the AD900X worked fairly well for my head, it felt like the headphone was just unnaturally hanging off my ears. With these, you can definitely feel pads on you, but they are very soft and comfortable and it doesn't feel like the headphones are just hanging off your ears despite not feeling the headband much. These are definitely the most comfortable pair I've ever worn.
