Can someone explain these headphones to me? I just got them and I love how comfortable they are and I think they look amazing but I feel like I'm missing out on something when I compare them to other headphones.
Who would you say these are for? Who is the intended customer? What kind of listener will love these? I'm driving them with Fiio E9 desktop headphone amp and I am not loving them.

REBELimgsThe AKGs generally have a long break-in period, which I think for these is up to 200 hours before they perform at their best. That being said, they are geared to being more neutral as opposed to being warm or syrupy. Though this model is a bit warmer than some models they are most definitely not for the Beats crowd. I would say their customer would lean towards the audiophile or music industry professional, sound engineer or mastering where accuracy is important. After the break-in period, if they still sound as though you are missing out, maybe experiment with some equalizing?

Tlan^This. I have owned many headphones and couple of different amps and I am always amazed at the sound quality the K7XX produces with the o2 and odac.
