I currently have a HyperX Cloud headset to use. I don't use the mic as I have a separate desk mic now so a headset is not necessary for me. Anyone know how these would compare to the HyperX Cloud in regards to the sound for music and gaming?

herMIn short, unparalleled.. audiophile grade >>> "gaming" grade. I went from $300 Astros to AKG Q701's and would never go back. You will need a dedicated amp to push these.

herMJust received mine today. I also have the HyperX Cloud (Original Cloud). I must say I hate it! Initial impressions for me is that these are more bassy than the Clouds. Leaning towards the warmer side. Symbals on these sound muffled and not as sharp as the Clouds. Don't ger me wrong, the base on this is really good. You definitely get the rumble, which you won't with the Clouds, but its just the highs missing for me. I'm running this onboard though. Might change with using a dedicated amp/dac. Haven't tried gaming on it yet though. I hope this sound would change after burn-in.

FloidI don't think so, I can change my eq though so that I can bring up the highs.
