Takes a few days for them to air out and release all the “factory chemical smell”, but, once they do, they are absolutely fantastic.
I mainly bought these to use for gaming, since all my speakers just weren’t quite working for me. These work well, and give good presence of footsteps and other critical environmental sounds without having to crank them up. Music sounds very nice, too— included jack converter is handy.
It’s a lot more than I’d expect to get for $50. Good desk set for when speakers don’t quite fit the bill.
EDIT: oh yeah, the red isn’t very red. It’s more like a darker, muted shade, not like Massdrop’s product pictures. If I was going to wear these out, I would’ve definitely bought black.
