Given the price to performance these are an very good deal. They don't particularly excell greatly at any one thing but perform moderate to above-average in many other facets. A somewhat flat response, there are very few headphones in the sub $100 price range that compete with these aside from the AKG K240 original variants. There are some that excel better in certain facets like highs, sub-bass, imaging, and soundstage, but nothing in every category unless we start talking about +$100 range. Definitely require an amp to get full value though. These would probably perform better as full open backs and the highs can be a touch unforgiving at certain peaks. "5" for price, "4" otherwise.
