Mine came with a faulty tube that died after a few weeks, it just stopped lighting up, so I bought new tubes and the unit works, it sounds fine, it improves the sound of my HD650 but not so much my Sundara, It really doesn't have that much power so don't expect it to drive anything more power hungry than an HD650/Sundara/HE4XX and the likes at decent volume while using Replaygain.
If this had more power, I'd rate it higher, but as it stands this amp really isn't "upgrade proof" a Magni 3 outputs way more power and can drive harder to drive headphones with greater ease, so unless you're looking to play with tubes, I'd take that instead. If you don't live in the US like me, and have a hard time getting your hands on a magni 3, the Objective 2 does just fine for less than half the price of this unit, and is way more reliable due to being a solid state amp, it is available on Massdrop right here for 95 dollars and some versions even come with a dac built in for less desk clutter.
