I too have this question. I am happy with the DAC portion of my Grace m9xx. If I use the m9xx as my DAC how will this amp compare to the m9xx's amp: sidegrade, upgrade, etc. I have an HE 400i and HD6xx.

have grace m9xx, also have this question. need an amp to connect to other stuff that can't connect through the grace since it has no input. looking at this or the bottlehead crack hmm.

Definitely want a schiit product in the future, jot has a DAC also, since I have the grace as a DAC might do this or a lyr2. Too many choices kill me now.

You are absolutely right, one should save up and get one great dac, and one great amp. My intention of buying the m9xx was this is going to be my only dac and amp for a long time, and I'm happy with it. But for $500, I should of gone for a separate set up, a cheaper but more powerful amp, and a better dac.
