malaproptwisting the volume knob back and forth several times does make it go away for a bit, but it comes back eventually

chordlessno, unresolved. just ignoring it as it only seems to occur during twist, doesn't affect playback.

I'm getting a bit of static, crackle, when i change volume. This is a first for me, so bear with me please. I looked it up online and I see it's somewhat common, not specific to this amp or anything. - If it doesn't bother me a lot, can I just leave it alone? or will it continue to get worse if I don't clean it? - If I do choose to clean it, anyone recommend a site with very simple and specific instructions?
