Hey Massdrop, how large is the tube opening on the top of the amp? If/when this drop is reopened, I may purchase IF it can accommodate 5670/2C51 type tubes, which I prefer to 6922. They are more squat than 6922's so it might be a tight fit...

mcknig.kLook for some 5670 (6n3, 5670, 2c51 all have the same pun layout) to 6922 adapters, I bought some to use with my Schiit Lyr and they work like a charm. I ordered some from eBay and they arrived in about 2 weeks.

Drangel99Oh yes, I have a slew of adapters, I'm more concerned that the tubes will not fit in the hole cut out of the top of the chassis since the 5670's are thicker than 6922's. But thanks!

mcknig.kNow that I reread your comment I see what you were saying! Well as soon as I get mine I will give it a shot and report back.

Drangel99I would appreciate that! Any impressions of the 5670's vs the included 6922 would be appreciated as well. I have a collection of 5670's, just not sure how sensitive this amp is to tube changes.

mcknig.kYeah I read on Head-fi that tube rolling didn't offer much change over the stock Electro Harmonix, but I was going to try it anyway. Anything in particular you would like me to try? Right now I have a Tung-Sol 2C51, GE 5670 5 star, CBS 5670 and I'm going to order a Western Electric 396a pretty soon.

Drangel99Well I have all of those tubes, so any and/or all of them would be great! I personally think the Western Electric JW 2C51/396a is the best of the bunch, but they all have their strengths. I would be particularly interested in the Western Electric, the CBS 5670 and the Tung Sol. Enjoy the WE's when you get them! They are fantastic :)

mcknig.kAlright I will let you know once I get a chance to test them (if they fit). Yeah I’m pretty excited about the western electric, I’ve heard they’re very good.

mcknig.kYou could easily get the hole drilled out bigger at a machine shop. It's not going to be hard.

Drangel99Alright so I just got mine set up. It looks like 2c51 and 6n3p will fit in fine! I bought some tubemonger 6922 socket savers and they fit in easily. They actually let the tube sit slightly above the top of the chassis, so you would have easy access for tube rolling (if it make any difference). I haven't had a chance to check any other tubes out yet, but so far sounds good!

Drangel99Sorry for bumping an old thread but I just got the cavalli and I already had a loxjie p20 with a few different tubes, excited to see theirs adapters to get my stuff to fit both ways now. Have you picked out the perfect tube by now?
