Question 1: In the balanced input: can i use this with active speakers, such as the JBL LSR305?
Question 2: What is the "SE Pass" used for?
1. You cannot use an 'input' of the amp with speakers, you would need an output. As active speakers have an inbuilt amp, best to use the pass through.
2. As CEE_TEE stated in a earlier comment, - "RCA output to pass through a DAC signal. (This way you can run: DAC > “LCX” > Another amp or Powered Speakers, etc.) "
I do wish they would have gone for balanced pass through using XLR instead tho =(
Thanks for clearing that up! So the input could be used for something like a DAC/CD player?
Yep, you would conventionally connect a DAC output into the amp inputs.
So for eg. you would connect DAC>LCX>LSR305 (using SE pass).
Though LSR305 only has balanced inputs, so you would need a XLR to RCA cable.
LSR305 also has 1/4" input also. So you can get RCA to 1/4".
I think I could use my balanced interface. Rupert Neves.? On my Yams and phones. Im not sure, but I think that will keep me balanced on everything. I can't look at it now. Anyone know?
