View Full Discussion Is the TRS headphone output 3.5mm or 6.3mm?
I mean I haven't had my hands on the unit personally, but the scale of the hole next to the XLR connector is bigger than it would be if it were 3.5mm. To put it another way I'm 99.99% sure. I would bet your life on it.
Let's put it a different way, as you can see in the below image of the stacked Massdrop Liquid Carbon and CTH, they both have the same size single ended jack on the front. In this hands-on preview listed on the CTH description page, the person explicitly says that there is a 1/4" jack on the front, so since you can see they are both the same size, they both have 1/4" headphone jacks on the front. Enough evidence for you? https://www.innerfidelity.com/content/massdrop-x-alex-cavalli-tube-hybrid-amp-cth
Wow. I'm convinced now. Thanks
How about reading the specs given right on the product page. It's TRS. Boy, that was hard!
Uhh... what? TRS means Tip, Ring, Sleeve, not , "This one's 1/4" guys."
You can get a "TRS" connector in 2.5mm, 3.5mm, 4.4mm, 6.35mm, etc. Nowhere does it explicitly say what is being used. Knowing how big a standard XLR jack is helps visually, and comparing to the CTH, which is a known 1/4" out confirms it, but MD's specs are lacking (or completely incorrect) fairly often.
Hey, thank you all...I updated to make it more clear, yes it is a ¼ in (6.3 mm) TRS headphone jack.
It's same size as one of his body parts.
