I tried my LCX for several days. It has passed its break in period. I am completely satisfied with it. I was listening to my Audio Technica AD2000x. I listened to SE for some time after that one of my friend who is experienced with cable mod modded my AD2000x to balanced. It's a HUGE difference. Guys, don't stuck on the SE, as the manual suggests, the SE TRS jack is provided for convenience only. I also tried SE input and BAL input. They makes no difference to me. Conclusion: USE BALANCED HEAPPHONES!

My experience is exactly the same. The inputs don't make too much difference, but outputs make a huge difference. 4x more power on balanced out. On mine, my SE output has a slight buzz (not sure where it's coming from (e.g. power, input cables, etc.), but I have no such problem on my balanced out. It still doesn't have the refinement of kilobuck+ amps, but for the money, this is a fantastic balanced amp.

Mine doesn't have the buzz and I don't think it's something supposed to happen.

Yeah, I'm sure it's not supposed to happen. Just haven't spent enough time troubleshooting to figure out what is causing it.

I drive my LCX from a preamp and run the LCX at full volume. At this level it matches my loudspeaker volume. So the LCX gain is nearly the same as the amp with my headphones. I find it useful so I don't have to adjust the preamp between headphones use and loudspeakers. So, just turn it up until it is loud enough, you won't hurt it.
