Great pair of chukkas
My pair are cut uneven at the top opening but you would never be able to tell while wearing. The unlined leather feels amazing to wear.

Dovetail construction is terrible. Dovetail heel popped off both shoes 3 months in. I estimate about ~35-40 wears. Not the end of the world as most cobblers will easily replace, but still, this should not be happening this early with the aforementioned amount of wear.

Take then to a cobbler and get them replaced. I had mine replaced and they’re still going strong 9 months later. It’s a shame they cheaped out on the heel construction but not all is lost.

My "defects": Right boot is taller by 1/2", I showed this to my sister while I was wearing them and she couldn't tell the difference. Also, right boot feels a bit narrower (tighter) by the toe than the left. This bothered me at first, but now that the boot is broken in, I don't notice it anymore. Overall, people still compliment me on the boot and it looks good. I'll give it 5 stars since we knew what were were getting into when we bought factory seconds, and we enjoyed the deep discount.

Shoes are great but quality of the “second” Is well below advertised. Mine didn’t have minor scratches but major stain issues. Coloring was well off from expectations.

Great shoes for the price. There was no issues with it. It is hard to tell it was a factory second besides some stitching was off center on the sole, it does not affect the shoe at all and can't be seen when wearing them. They fit perfectly and the snuff color is nicer in person than it showed in the picture.

The flaws in my boots consist of roughly cut leather along the welt. It's very apparent close up, but invisible to the eye when they're being worn. The suede appears to be of excellent quality and they feel great to wear. For seconds, I'm quite pleased.

My blemishes were pretty visible. Will wait until the "firsts" come back out and pay a bit more. Guess these will be my beater AE's.
