Pretty mediocre (Edit: Pretty terrible; rusted in half)
I'd ordered this knife knowing people always say to not buy knives online as it is difficult to tell how you will like it personally. Though I'm not terribly unhappy with this knife or anything I do think I should've listened. The knife itself is okay. I like the length, I like how it feels in my hand, and I like the shape of the blade itself. That's all good. The included bamboo sheath is also a nice touch -- though my spouse keeps trying to ram it on upside down. The steel itself is pretty mediocre though, it keeps an edge for a reasonable while but is difficult to sharpen properly I think, but then again I'm not a professional (or even pretty good) sharpener. My main gripe with this knife is that from the moment I received it the blade seemed to have a slight "wobble" in the handle. If you shook the knife sideways you could hear it tap around. It feels pretty cheap. Furthermore the print is completely useless (stuff most definitely sticks to the blade), the handle feels pretty cheap, and overall I would not really recommend this knife. But then again, it was only around $100, so not terrible either. Edit: I reground the edge to 15° and that's left me with a significantly more pleasant experience. The cutting is smoother, but obviously the edge does not last nearly as long. Would recommend trying that though. Edit 2: Pretty quickly and as mentioned in the first review I noticed a slight wobble in the handle. I assumed the tang didn't continue the entire way into the blade and the ornamental part was simply not glued on properly, or something similar to that. It turns out that this was actually a much more significant problem. I only ever handwashed this knife, and did so immediately after using it. Thereafter I always immediately dried it and stored it in its sheath. Regardless, over time, water appears to have gotten into the "wobbly part" near the red line, and completely rusted the tang away from the inside out. The knife then promptly split in half. I already mentioned this knife did not feel like it was of particularly high quality, but for above a $100 I do expect it to at least not rust in half when it received proper care. The tang inside of the handle appears extremely thin; almost like there was a machining or casting flaw leaving the tang especially vulnerable. Because of the poor finishing quality the leaking bit of water was apparently quickly able to rust through this completely. Would absolutely not recommend this knife now. See attached pictures. Edit 3: I contacted Drop support and they immediately offered to send a new knife. I just received the new knife, and it feels much sturdier. I don't remember if the previous knife wobbled out-of-the-box (probably not), so hopefully this one doesn't have the same issue as the previous. The support I received from Drop was top-notch though, very pleased!
