I really hate leaving bad reviews. I was hoping to enjoy, support, and promote these two knives. I know they are trying to ride the line between price and quality, but these fall short in a couple ways. The handles are heavy and bulky. You can see the glue in the seems. The blades seem like they should be sharper but the metal feels soft, so that might be why. These criticisms come from having Wurstof, Henkel, Global, Yaxell, and Enso knives ranging from cheaper than these to 4 times the cost. Hope this helps.

AediusHey @Aedius thank you for taking the time to post a review. "Riding the line" of quality and anything is absolutely not the goal here - if your knife wasn't perfect out of the box, please contact our support team. In particular, we have worked with our vendor on perfecting the application and finishing of epoxy, so if it's not perfect we'd like to see it and we're happy to setup a refund or exchange for any warranty issue. As far as the steel "feeling soft" - that's a tough one to field. Was this feeling from something you were cutting, or the cutting board, or maybe a honing rod or sharpening stone? AUS-10 with proper heat treatment should run close to 61HRc before grinding - harder than any of the German knives you mentioned, comparable to Yaxell (depending on the steel) - and offer excellent edge retention. Again, if you can give our support team specifics on the 'softness' it will help them to help with your case and also keep an eye out for any similar issues (we haven't seen any other reports of this). "Heavy" and "bulky" are somewhat subjective, but if the knife doesn't match the specs in terms of the weight and thickness that are listed, that's also something we'd like to know about, and would be covered under our warranty. You can contact our support team via https://drop.com/transactions - just click the "Contact Support" button underneath your order for this item. Thanks again for your comments, I hope this helps to address your concerns.
