Great set of cans for any situation
These have really grown on me. When I first got them I wasn't that impressed, but I changed to the leather pads and burned them in for 200 hours and they really came alive. Good isolation and balanced sound signature. Sound stage and imaging are better than average for a closed back headphone and on tracks that are recorded properly, I even get a sense of instruments both above and below my head. Comfort is outstanding, but I can see how it may not be the best for some people (one of my friends found it uncomfortable on the top of his head and couldn't get it so seal at the bottom of his ears). Since they're so easy to drive I can hook them up to my phone or TV and it drives them no problem, but when you give them a better amp they definitely scale well. Out of everything though I think their stand out trait is the low end. With tracks that have it, the sub-bass presentation is so satisfying. You can almost feel it in your chest even out of something like my Note 9. Not as snappy as a Fostex biodynamic, but feels like it reaches deeper into you (almost like you're standing next to a subwoofer).
