I almost bought this knife. The i saw the massdrop logo on the blade. Why does it have to be so ugly and pronounced?

FloatingWanderer82that's an odd statement considering the "Bradford" logo is about twice the size on the other side. This is a Massdrop exclusive so of course the logo should be present. I see the same complaint with the other knife drops.

PaLeeSeriously. Massdrop is becoming pretty well known for producing high quality collaborations at very reasonable prices I don't understand why people get upset. I've never seen anyone complain that crkt puts their name on the blade when all they do is pay a designer for the design and subcontract the production to factories in China.

FloatingWanderer82I've always heard that ugly is in the eye of the beholder, but beauty goes for bone. If this knife had the specs I desire, I would get it even with the big band name on it. It's not a deal breaker for me, just a preference.

NotsurewhyibotherOther knife companies like Benchmade or Spyderco do exclusive runs with knife shops, but you don't see those knife shops slapping their store name on those knives. It is kind of annoying that massdrop does it for many of their exclusives.

WrightMassdrop had more to do with the production of this knife for it to be called an exclusive run. This is a collaboration between two companies- Massdrop and Bradford, both bringing value to the product in different ways. Massdrop is a brand, and it would be really stupid to put that much work into something and then leave your name off it. If you want a Bradford knife without the logo, go get a Guardian 3. They aren't even that much more expensive. I don't mind the Massdrop logo because I support what they do as a company. They work to bring niche enthusiast products to a bigger market, therefore getting more people interested and broadening the community.

Mgrogers09This knife is a Guardian 3.5 with different steel and handles. It's not a new design. So how is it any different than when other companies do exclusives for Spyderco or Benchmade and offer a knife with different steel and handle scales? It seems exactly the same to me. Except Massdrop puts their logo on this knife where other companies that have exclusives do not.

WrightNot to beat a dead horse, but I guess I see where you're coming from. My thing is that there always seems to be this animosity towards Massdrop or I guess "Drop" now, for putting their name on stuff. I have been around this community for almost 5 years and have always really lendorsed what they are doing- catering to the enthusiast community and helping niche markets and products find new customers and develop new products. I don't mind having their name on knives or other items that I own because I am a fan. I have several friends that aren't really into this type of thing, but because of the branding on my knives, it starts the conversation and now I have friends that use Massdrop too.

Mgrogers09I've always looked at the knives that I have purchased here as tools and not reading material. The first three of my MD knives that I picked up just now had quite small fonts. One was so small that I thot that I was reading the list of ingredients on my multivitamin bottle. I am still conflicted about whether or not to order this one. I really like the blue and brown scales. Besides, I don't have anything in Nitro-V.............yet.
