Hey All.
I am really interested in giving a tube amp a real. I have looked at a fair few but the 1st priority is not quality (yes I know!) but it is the size of it. I have very little desktop space remaining so if anyone can point me to a super small footprint WITH damn good quality tube sound I would be really grateful.
Also, how would this compare to say the Little Dot MKIII or Massdrop CTH + SDAC DAC/amp ? Also the Schiit Tube options? Vali 2 Valhalla 2 or Lyr 2?
Thank you & Thumbs up peeps! :)

The Vali 2 is by far the smallest. It's an excellent place to start and is often considered to be one of Schiit's best all-rounders.
Very few people have heard all of these amps as two are not yet in circulation. However the few over on SBAF who have heard them have so far opined that the ZDT Jr. is a class above the CTH which is in turn a class above the Vali 2.

I have a Woo Audio WA3 that I like a lot. I was fortunate to find it on eBay for an indecently low buy-it-now price. It's not super compact but is smaller than many others. I also have a Bravo amp, which is really a hybrid tube design, but it has a tiny footprint and isn't expensive.

vali 2 is warm and can be warmer with better tubes than the ones provided. It's a good amp and you don't really need more unless you That being said the Lyr 2 is also very good, cleaner sounding and dead neutral/cold. I personally amp with a Lyr 2 and I enjoy it a lot, especially with the warm sound signature of the ameperex tubes from the 60s. Audio heaven, for me. Any good tube amp is.
