Product Description
A collaboration with Empire Ears, this is a new iteration of the Zeus XIV: an engineering marvel and the first 14-driver in-ear monitor ever made. This version uses the same drivers as the company’s former flagship—two bass, six midrange, and six treble—along with an identical seven-way crossover circuit to tune the drivers’ frequency response Read More

It is probably hiss from your dac/amp. I have this with my dragonfly red as well but not with my desktop amp. The ifi iematch should remove the hiss but I found it better to live with the hiss than to use the iematch for my own use. Hopefully the hiss isn’t noticeable when listening to music

The level of noise this thing exposes from almost any amp is astounding!! I'm using it with all kinds of amps and literally the least powerful(?) (Oneplus 6 phone direct for example) have the least noise/hiss. My Anthem D2V treats these things like they were meant to debug the internal circuitry SNR. If that makes sense. Eitherway I think it's due to its accuracy. If this analogy works- you can't blame a true 40Megapixel sensor for the imperfections it exposes when you go to photograph a piece of canvas art.

It should not be any other noise but the sound from the player. What do you mean background noise? Do you mean Jitter? They are very sensitive earphones (right term?), so if the player produce jotter, you will hear it.
Is the cable replaceable? What kind of cable can I get to replace this?

IIRC, .78mm, definitely 2 pin. Termination, whatever you need to fit your source requirements.
