kennnHave you tried the ERLKöNIG from VE? The sound is unbeatable in all kind of ways.
Don’t get fooled by the driver count, only the real sound matters. For example, even 2 chefs got the same ingredients , the tastes will never be the same, and you can even tell which one cooks better once you heard it.
Anyway, if you haven’t tried the ERLKöNIG, don’t make any judgements yet. I am pretty sure the new flagship from Vision Ears is the King of IEM.

kennni love my zeus xr set. this drop is such a friggen steal. i bought mine full price and feel like i got my money's worth. at this price i might be picking up another set lol.
regarding the ares ii cable - it's a great cable but i really love my thor ii cable with the zeus. like i leave my ares in a drawer somewhere :P i wonder how good these stock cables will be? if they're great or if they suck this drop is cheap enough you could pair with whatever cable you want and still save heaps of dough.

Eric_Yuno I totally agree with you. I'm just addressing those complaining about the amazing price this drop gives. Erlkönig I believe was MADE to be endgame, dont like one sig? congrats you got 3 more chances. also it's meant to set different moods. I have NOT heard it, and my comment was in NO way denouncing it's worth. I just wanted to simply justify the worth of this drop.

i tend to stick to the r but i hop between the two pretty regularly depending on the media, but honestly only because I have it and swapping is fun. there's nothing i've found that doesn't sound great on either tuning set, except shitty sounding source material. from what i can gather its the same drivers in this drop as the ones in mine just without the little switch. to be frank i'd value that little switch at like $300, definitely not double the price - its a cool addition but super cursory to the listening experience, at least for me. some may value it way more, which is fair, can only share my exp. i still think this is a stupid good deal.
and you're right, the custom design/fit is awesome, but i tend to swap my iems often and resell so i usually stick to universal. this was my first set of customs. kinda wish i had splurged even further for the adel module tho, so if you are thinking about dropping the whole whammy for the zeus xr i would def recommend that. sorry i ramble

terxanI am very confused by your last comment lol. Not that it wasn't clear and well-written, I am just fairly new to all this. So basically as I understood: 1. this is a great deal. 2.I will miss a cable and switch compare to the stock version? Is Zeus Xr the same as this Zeus otherwise?

There are other universal iems way more pricey than this and less justified in their build. Erlkönig for example, like $6000 cdn, big chunk you pay for the silver housing, another chunk to the complicated 4-signature switch, while HERE you get the sound people paid double for, in a less attractive shell, and a stock cable.
if you're even looking at iems from these companies you should at LEAST know that much. this drop is amazing
