ClumsyGuyI can afford these but I'm smarter than a potato. I'd never spend 1000 dollars on an iem, and on very few headphones. What a joke.

ClumsyGuyiem *inherently limited *small *fragile *easy to lose *limited places it is appropriate to use them and I swear anyone using IEMs as a home solution belongs in an Asylum

UzuzuAlright. What do you think about the MD+ ? do they worth the 300$ for their portability ?

ClumsyGuyWhen it comes to IEMs, ignore Uzuzu. He is an outspoken hater of any and all IEMs and doesn't have much ear time with them nor can really wear them or use them like the rest of us (due to an ear issue he talked about in the Noble K10U thread). Edit: link to that post for context - https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-noble-kaiser-10-universal-iems/talk/2017441 I'm actually using the MD+ now and can state they are worth their price tag. They are relatively neutral with a tasteful bump in the sub-bass region. Easy to drive, comfortable, and are fatigue-free with good enough resolution in this price bracket. I'm running them balanced out of my ES100 and think they sound quite good for a triple driver IEM. My only complaints are the stock case and cable are poo. Easy enough to replace but a nuisance none-the-less.

ClumsyGuyI enjoy them. I have the Wizard edition of them. Just go into them knowing they aren't going to be reference class or anything like that. They have a more fun tuning to them. Definitely meatier than the MD+ but lacks the extension and air up top by comparison. They're also bassier than you would think for a dual-BA IEM. They're tuned safely without peaks or weirdness and are quite easy to listen to all day. I can easily wear mine all day long without complaint. My issues with them are the cable and ear tips. The cable is an absolute nuisance due to the sheathe section that goes around your ear. Since it's so stiff, the Noble's tend to pull themselves out of my ears and really hurt the fit (and enjoyment) of them when I first got them. They use the same cable as the MD+ (0.78mm 2-pin) so that cable fits fine and resolved that fit issue. It could just be a me thing as I wear glasses but I have the same issue with any memory wire also. With tips, the included tips just flatout suck. I'm not a fan of silicone but if you go the foam route, I highly suggest looking into the SmartCore tips by Comply. The inner core is of a different design than many others so it will stretch to the right size of the stem (within reason) and is made out of a different material. I use both the sport and comfort models depending on activity and arguably hate using anything else nowadays. They're also washable so a 3-pack should last a year or more as long as you keep up with cleaning and drying monthly. Hope that helps!

DeadhardyI do have a comfort problem with IEMs but no measured hearing loss, as the guy knows. I don't really argue against IEMs because I don't like them, which I don't, but because their value is bloated and they literally are a meme, and restricted in what they can accomplish.

UzuzuIf I'm using IEMs it's usually on the go...where they are more susceptible to abuse, damage, and getting lost/stolen. They're also just more inherently fragile imo. I'm not dropping 1k on IEMs when even my best pairs have failed after a year or two.

ClumsyGuyIf you can wait for the MD+, I would get it as it is the better IEM. The Noble X overall is above average but I find the MD+ to be pretty good. Subjective, but I feel the SQ is superior in the MD+ comparatively to the Noble X which may be slotted higher due to build and materials. That's not a bad thing but you should know that going in.

jaydunndidditGot ya, thats my current IEM and I'm trying to figure out where to go next between the solaris, this, or the m-9's. I'm in Michigan and don't really have a way to audition anything.

Lowra1nwI REALLY enjoy the Solaris. But, the Atlas will always have my heart. For my ears, she's perfect. Campfire also offers a 15-day no questions asked return policy. As long as you don't mind putting up the seed money, you can sample them and return them if you don't like them within that timeframe. That was my only option as well since my local dealer only messes with loudspeakers and headphones. My advice is to not use any of the supplied tips, cables, etc. in the off-chance you hate them and have to send them back. That's what I did when I tried both Andro variants and kept the Solaris and Atlas. Couldn't have been happier with the purchase or the customer service from Campfire. They're a joy to talk to and deal with.

jaydunndidditNice, I really am a base head at heart and listen to a lot of edm, rock, and country. Which do you think could cover that spectrum? also, did you find the solaris a bit big? they look huge

zhouharveyQuite the contrary, using it balanced out of the THX 789 only made me love them more. As a dynamic driver fan, it doesn't get much better than the Atlas for an IEM. Whay makes you say that in the first place?

zhouharveyI have worn them every day for 8 hours plus since they launched. Despite being made of stainless steel, they're pretty lightweight. I use a Comply comfort smartcore and can easily lay on my side and sleep with them in. Even when biking, they stay in place. I don't know how you came to the conclusion that they're uncomfortable but at least for me, the Andromedas are the most uncomfortable IEM Campfire makes. The Vega is a close tie with the Atlas in comfort but loses as it can only be worn up. The Atlas can be worn up or down and doesn't have a memory wire.

zhouharveyI decided to go with the Nemesis instead, pretty pumped! Also if you reach out to Campfire via email you should be able to get them at a better deal, I was offered a new A-stock set for 999.

Lowra1nwHave you heard this line from EE before? I've been interested in their dynamic driver tech in hopes they would do a pure DD build (holding my breath...). But, the Vantage and Nemesis seem to be tuned similar to the Atlas and Vega looking at their FR.

jaydunndidditNot personally, I have some ppl on the forums with similar taste in sound signatures that have both the Nemesis and the Atlas that said that their Atlas's quickley got listed after picking up the Nemesis. I'll be sure to give an update once I have some head time with them. I was thinking about ordering the Atlas still just to compare but if I did that I'd have to pass here so we'll see.

DeadhardyMy CA Andromeda and Dorado IEM's are made of lightweight metal and are most certainly NOT fragile. I used to be a person who liked headphones better, but after getting some high-end IEM's, I'm a TOTAL convert and believer in IEM's being better than cans. They isolate MUCH better than soundproofing, which means lower volume levels, use BA Drivers, which has much better details, transient speed and resolution (at least IMO) than ANY dynamic driver is capable of, and they're obviously MUCH smaller and portable than headphones. I've sold ALL of my headphones and now just own a pair of CA Andromeda and Dorado IEM's, as well as a pair of Westone Second Generation UM Pro 30's (for monitoring my live audio recordings and doing strenuous exercise or work with Comply Sport+ tips), and I couldn't be ANY happier. I don't plan on buying another pair of headphones ANY time soon either, although I'd love to audition some CA Cascade cans!!! I've now become a strictly IEM user, whether at home or on the go! Obviously EVERYONE is different, but for me, IEM's are king now 😎👍
