This may be a silly question, but i ask so many in life, i'm used to it. This quilt has an extra 5% fill. does that change the 20 degree rating at all?

theatomicflyNo, but it does bring up their fill amount closer to what other makers use, which is a good thing and something I think that EE should do in their normal line of quilts also (currently they just tell you to buy the next warmest model). The temperature ratings are more influenced by loft (the height of the baffles) than they are by how much stuff they have, assuming some standards. By overstuffing 10% or so you may gain a couple degrees, which is essentially meaningless in real life, but what it does help with is maintaining loft over the long term after it's been stuffed and unstuffed a bunch, laundered, etc. Most quilt makers will allow you to add some additional down, but EE stopped doing that and their quilts are just a bit less stuffed than some others, so adding the little 5% here is certainly a benefit but not in terms of affecting the temperature rating.
