The Falcon is our best-selling knife to date. We’ve seen it in different finishes, with wings, and fully blacked out—but never have we seen it with Damascus steel. The Falcon Damascus is our most show-stopping collaboration yet with custom knife shop Ferrum Forge. This limited-edition run of just 50 pieces features Vegas Forge "Reptilian" stainless damascus for a one-of-a-kind look. It sports a titanium handle with black DLC coating or a bronze-anodized finish. Like the original Falcon, the knife flips open effortlessly thanks to the caged bearing system. At just 3.6 ounces, it’s an easy carry in any pocket, and you can attach the clip on either side.

The story of Damascus steel dates back more than 2,000 years. Believed to have originated in India, it’s made by folding layers of steel together in a unique pattern. Today, it’s characterized by its artisanal look and distinct banding patterns. The blade on the Falcon Damascus is made by our partners at Vegas Forge: a company of seasoned blacksmiths known for its innovative forging techniques and bold patterns. Called “Reptilian,” the pattern here is a scaly, rippling mosaic like water falling onto a lizard’s back. It comprises alternating layers of AEB-L and 302 stainless steel. Unlike traditional Damascus that’s folded in open air, Vegas Forge uses a modern technique to forge-weld the layers together in a sealed canister. The pattern is revealed when the blades are etched in muriatic acid and then polished.
The Falcon Damascus’s 2.9-inch drop-point blade features a sizable choil for index finger placement when choking up. The spine has a concave cutout offering a natural thumb rest for a forward grip. As far as hardware, the Falcon has been crafted with the best materials on the market. Thanks to titanium’s spring properties, it makes for a safe and reliable frame lock that is almost impossible to accidentally disengage. The hardened steel lockbar insert won’t wear out in the long haul, drastically increasing the folder’s longevity. Holding the knife together is a titanium backspacer. Also notable is the titanium clip, which has been adjusted for tension so that it stays put on the go, but it won’t rip your pants apart when taking out the knife.
The dynamic duo of Elliot and Chris Williamson, better known as Ferrum Forge, has proved an outstanding partner since our first collaboration in mid 2017. Together we’ve successfully launched six projects and put more than 10,000 knives in the hands of the Massdrop community. Founded in 2009, Ferrum Forge started from humble beginnings in Elliot Williamson’s Southern California garage. Using pieces of steel like old files and leaf springs, Eliot gradually taught himself the art of knifemaking and metallurgy. As his skills grew, so too did demand for his work. Luckily, Elliot’s brother Chris joined the team in 2012 to help expand Ferrum Forge to what it is today: a small operation dedicated to designing and producing custom knives through a rigorous process of development, machining, iteration, and quality control.
