Hey everyone, As a few members have mentioned, there was a price increase on the Gent Select (from $100 to $120). Our founder and CEO, Steve El-Hage, recently posted about the subject of pricing updates in this Talk Hub post: "I wanted to let you know that we will be increasing the price on a limited amount of Massdrop Made audio and blades products. These increases will generally range from $10-$20 and will go into effect over the next few weeks. We may also revisit prices on a limited amount of additional products in the coming months.

Why the increase? A couple of reasons. When we started, we underpriced some items with the immediate goal of getting them into your hands and out into the community. We knew the price didn’t accurately reflect their market value, but wanted to reward our early adopters for taking a chance with us. Additionally, over the years, costs have gone up around things like manufacturing, shipping, etc." We think the design, materials, and build quality of the Gent Select that have earned it 4.3 stars from members who have reviewed it still represents a great value at this price, and we hope that you will agree. We do hear and appreciate your feedback, and of course we understand that you look to Massdrop for the best products at the best prices. Thanks as always for your feedback, we do appreciate knowing how you feel about this and all the changes we make as Massdrop continues to grow. Can anyone direct me to some instructions for fixing a blade that has loosened up? This is on the Rosewood model. I saw mention of this same problem by another reviewer, but not how to remedy it.

Pocket clip bends far too easily.

If we have the original g10 version, are the rosewood scales available to buy separately?

Are the rosewood scales made of stabilized wood (like Benchmade's Dymondwood) or are they just finished wood?

Screws. I need new pocket clip screws or dimensions to have some made.

My knife was never delivered. Shipment was lost according to Fedex. Drop support has been ignoring my requests for over a week. Has anybody else been able to get customer service? There's no phone number, and they haven't responded to 5+ emails through their form over the last 14 days.

Hi eric! Thanks for replying a month later. Yes a full refund was given, I’m very grateful that I paid through PayPal and could dispute the transaction. That got somebody’s attention after Massdrop ignored my ticket and several follow up tickets for over two weeks. I even contacted Ferum Forge to see if they had a way to reach somebody in Massdrop. Nada. Im glad we were able to part ways amicably in the end. Cheers.

I raised this internally on June 19th and was expecting CS to respond to your post. Decided to check back in. And now I'm the messenger. Glad everything worked out in the end!

If the blade was 3.5 instead of three inches I buy this knife in a heartbeat.

So you want the Crux. Which is basically the same knife with a 3.4inch blade..

I have the Crux and I am very satisfied with it. I like the Gent for different reasons like the smaller flipper tab, deep carry pocket clip, and option for carbon fiber scales. I just find blades between 3.5 and 4 inches suit my purposes better.

Anybody else take off their scales and pretend they now own a ZT450? Makes me wish they did offer the Gent in just a chamfered titanium framelock version. It's thinner and feels a little more hard use to me. Regardless, I do like this knife! I just find myself coddling it too much when it has the rosewood scales on

I felt similarly, and I wanted to use this knife a lot harder than I was doing. I actually traded my scales with SliceyDicey75 for his black G10 ones so I can comfortably put the knife to more hard use. He put the wood scales on his satin blade and it looks amazing. He recently posted it on his Instagram. Drop really needs to offer sets of different scales to be sold separately. They are so easy to swap.

Thanks for the info. I still might come around to getting the rosewood scaled version at some point. IMO, it does the name "Gent" the most justice out of all the options so far.

Received my carbon fiber Gent yesterday. When I tried to move the pocket clip to the opposite side (I'm a lefty), I realized that the pocket-clip screw holes in the titanium on the show side are not threaded all the way through. This means I can't get the clip on tight with the provided screws. Anybody have any ideas?
