Oooof... was all set to order a 2nd with the custom scales and find pricing is at $120 now? Pass. This ruined the fair deal these were. Was even worth putting up with having to loctite the soft hardware and the lack of availability on a replacement pocket clip. Not anymore. What a shame. Guess it’s back to amazon for me.

CeVeeSo let me get this straight. 120 bucks is too much money for this knife. Hilarious

bsterling430When it was $20 less just a few days earlier? Yes. This is a Chinese made knife, not a USA made piece. $120 is ludicrous.

CeVeeSo what's the difference if the knife is made in China vs. America.as if titanium from China is different than titanium from America, the same can be said about the s35vn steel. I really wish people would apply the same logic to purchasing the iPhone. IPhone users get raped without any Vaseline in with sandpaper... I guarantee you that the so-called American workers assembling those knives, aren't getting healthcare, aren't getting a pay raise, and the money is going to the heads of the company.

CeVeeYou people act as if a nice made by we China is a problem. are used to getting who makes damn near everything we touch. The Chinese. Do you know who the smartest kids in school are. The Chinese do you know who are the most medical and engineering students coming out of college, they're Chinese. So what's your point. Those true Craftsman and Rhodes scholars in ass of nowhere Idaho are supposed to be valueed that much? I think not. In that case every American product I touch better have the exact same quality as a German or Japanese product.

bsterling430Never said made in China was a problem. Not sure where that tirade came from. I mean hell, I bought the original gent (at $80 less the $10 referral, so $70.) So I had no problem with coo from that standpoint. Production costs are greatly different though, hence the reason they’re made there to begin with. Adding 20-25% to the selling price because the knives found a YouTube following seems poor, and I simply expressed my distaste for the new price point. I also mentioned I would have bought another at the original pricing so they can be aware they lost a customer. It seems you should check out Glassdoor and look at employment with Benchmade and Spyderco as your statements are false. In this case though, WE knives is known for substandard hardware that does not plague the US produced products. So At this new price I could spend slightly more and avoid those issues altogether.
