No thanks. You've already shown me this is a suckers deal. I'll wait until it's made and ready to ship in a day and you've got some fancy new carbon fiber scales or whatever for me to add on. Never doing this preorder thing again like I have for every other massdrop produced knife.

bmdubI had to chuckle when I read your post because I came to a similar conclusion. Mainly for me it's the wate time. I ordered one of these MD/FF/PT - Mordax within minutes of the drop. I actually set my alarm so I could be one of the first to order one. Why? I'm not sure except I know I have an addictive personality so that may have something to do with it lol. Ether way I realized soon after I just didn't want to wait another 4 more months for a knife So I cancelled my order and bought a LNIB Burg Blades Iron Wolf Pup off the Exchange and I should have in in hand later this week or next. Mind you I'm still going to buy one of these beautiful knives once they join the heard.👍 😆

T.willyI used to do the same thing. And then I realized t hat people joining the second drop just days after the initial shipment were also getting serialized blades that were left over. And then they started offering the milled scales immediately on the second drop. And the last thing that really topped it off was offering the terzuola ctf in carbon fiber right away. That was the final straw. I'm not giving them my money and waiting for 6 or more months just to see them reward the next guy who held on to his cash. If they want me to be an early investor they're going to have to change something up in their business model because I'm done with it.

bmdubYes I had forgot all about that!! Mind you I am a big fan of Massdrop for helping Canadian knife knuts like myself to be able to buy pocket knives with a grantee you ether get the knife you bought or your money back. For that I'll always be greatful. However your 100% right on this other matter. Unless we stop freely filling the orders there's no reason to change there way of doing things. I do understand you might want to see if I model of knife is popular before you start offering extra options such as Carbon fiber and milled out handles but they could still offer the original buyers maybe a discount if they decide they want to upgrade to the newest version. Or something like that it wouldn't have to be major just something so you don't feel like a dumb ass for not just holding out like most everyone else. 😕

T.willyExactly what you said. Especially when they offer the upgraded handles immediately, you know they had already made the decision while our knives were still in production. A simple email to all early adopters with the option to upgrade is all it would take. But instead they stay silent and appear to be trying to force us to buy a second knife.

bmdubYeah I could see them "maybe" not thinking of how that might leave us original buyers feeling a bit cheated but by now there's plenty of feedback for them to put it together. Hopefully in time they will. They have listened to other concerns in the past. Only time will tell I guess. Until then I'm with you. They can have my money once the knife is built and ready to ship. 👍

T.willyYeah hopefully they will listen soon and not think it's because of an overall lack of interest in the knives themselves. They've made some amazing collaborations and we want more but not if we're being penalized for helping to make it happen. I really hope some massdrop folks are reading through the comments and see this. It would be a shame to see it all come to an end because not enough people were willing to jump in early anymore. I've been noticing more and more similar comments from some of the more prominent members of this community and have even been hearing it in knife circles outside of massdrop.

DougFLA123Yes that's the one. It's hands down the best place on the Internet for buying and selling pre owned knives. Not to mention there's literally a sub forum for each type of knife ie Modern folders or Traditional slipjoints were you can ask questions and just do what we're doing now lol.

DougFLA123I'm glad to hear your enjoying yourself 😆 I actually stumbled onto BF one day after watching a knife Review of a GEC TC Barlow by Apostle P. I thought the little slip joint was so cool looking I just had to have one. When I Googled places to buy it I got about 15 different conversations all located in the "Traditionals" sub section of BladeForums. I was only about 2 months in on knife collecting so for me it was a very fortunate discovery. Now my wallet on the other hand has different feelings lol.😂

DougFLA123Pardon me, but it sounds like you are confusing lack of self-control with normal behavior. I can sew up holes in my socks and eat Raman noodles, but I can't go without another new knife. DougFLA123No. I'm not in on this one. I truly believe this to be overpriced. At least, it is for me. I really love the blue one in the picture. If it were an auto, then I would be at this price. My CC company let me charge anything in Nov-Dec2018 with 2% interest until 01Jul2019. Needless to say, I wore it out buying knives..........and other stuff. I have to dig out so now I'm trying to practice some self-control. (Strains of Ray Stevens song, The Streak play in my mind. "Don't look, Ethel, but it was too late.)

DougFLA123Hey Did you get the Video Farrum Forge released today on the Archbishop 2.0!!😰 It sure as hell looks like another home run to me. It seems they heard the complaints about the Fortis 2.0 not being worth the extra $100 or so compared to the Massdrop models made of basically the same materials and done by the same company. The Archbishop 2.0 got a Steel upgrade to M390 and the mill work on the handles of the knives are mind blowing 😲 IMO
