Product Description
Driven to make an everyday sock that fits better, feels better, and keeps you comfortable mile after mile, we teamed up with Fitsok: a US company that has changed what we can expect from the classic 3-pack. We took our favorite elements from the company’s ISW Isolwool Trail Cuff sock, and made it thinner, lighter, and faster drying, with a bit more stretch and several new colors to choose from Read More

What's the best way to wash these?

I've just thrown them in the washing machine with few issues. Probably shouldn't dry them, but I do anyway.

How thick are these? would they provide good padding for walking around in boots?

They're thicker in the heel and ball of the foot. Other places they ar a little thinner than most wool socks. I use them for everyday, and have used them for week long hiking trips as well. They provide decent cushion.

I own probably a dozen pairs of these socks. They are my number one go to every single day. I wear them for work, play, and a lazy day. I really need to get even more, so I can get rid of all my other mediocre socks! They are the Merino wool blend, and work well for work (no pun intended). I am on my feet in a warehouse on a cherry picker 10 hours a day. These bad boys truly take a beating and are still incredibly comfy. When I'm not at work, I still opt to wear these socks just because they are so universal. Not too hot in the summer, and perfect in the winter.

SkaDrummer3357Second that! I’ve had mine for years and still in good condition despite daily wear.

I can't really elaborate much more than what has already been mentioned. I will say that these socks hug your feet a bit more than other socks. They look smaller, but stretch to fit. They will provide adequate padding for walking around the house. I am a huge fan of Merino wool socks. I own Darn Tough, Smartwool, and more recently purchased Fitsok. While I won't say that Fitsok are better than Darn Tough or Smartwool, they are comparable and are less expensive. I'd buy them again, if that helps.

The padded parts of these socks are about as thick as most normal socks. On the Overview page, look at the Color Options images of the Black/White socks. You can see exactly where they have padding. These socks seem to be more focused on keeping your feet dry on long hikes. I use them in waterproof leather work boots for 8 hours a day, and after 2 years I still haven't had any problems with these socks.

Not a thick sock, but good for daily use, fit tight, durable, good wicking, decent warmth. Look at peak to plateau or sheep mountain for thicker boot socks or serious cold
