I am very excited to present a new Massdrop collaboration! We started with an idea to make an amazing sock for hiking and running. We also wanted it to look good enough that you could wear it to work, around town or to the gym - too many technical socks look too techy. Finally we wanted to make it comfy enough that you'd want to wear it while lounging around your house.
I've been super impressed with the end results. Our staff and friends have been testing out these socks for months and we're positive these are these best bang for the buck socks available anywhere. We took the already popular Trail Cuff, and made it a bit softer to the touch, made it a little thinner so you can wear this in the summer (the Trail Cuff is too thick/warm for that), and improved upon the Tron-esque aesthetics.
I'm thrilled we're working with Fitsok on this adventure. They are very well known in the running world. Fitsok is the athletic brand of The Sock Factory. All socks are dyed and manufactured in Hickory, North Carolina in their factory. A little known secret in the sock world is that there are only a few sock factories in the US, and a lot of brands outsource to these few. So rather than go with Brand X, who then acts as a go-between for us and the factory, we've gone direct. The end result is that we have more control over the socks being made, the process is faster, and we can negotiate a better value for you as we have eliminated the middleman.
The socks come in a 3-pack of all black, or mixed green/gray/light gray. I'm getting one of each. We also made sure to offer an XXL for our big-feeted friends. And since these are made in the US, the turnaround time is a lot faster - the socks will ship out in April!

DannyMilksSo, what's the expected shrinkage on these after washing (line-drying)?
Size 11.5 is conspicuously excluded in the sizing chart.

DannyMilksCongrats! If you can sell these cheaper than SmartWool, which I'm betting on since you're collaborating with massdrop, I'm instabuying.

most_fowlJust went to their site to check and Smartwool PhD running socks list for $18.95 ~ about the same price for one of those as three of these. No middle man, retail markup, advertising budget, large company overhead. You win.

DannyMilksAwesome! I was prepared to drop $40+, I didn't even know Smartwool was that cheap, ha. Just realized they have a really similar makeup of merino wool and nylon, too. I'm in =)

riallinGood point @riallin . We've added the in-between sizes to the chart. Our basic advice is to size up if in doubt. You don't want to have socks that constrict your toe flexibility or are too short for your foot. On the flip side, of course, is that you don't want locks that are too long that could create bunching. Thanks.

DannyMilks" No middle man, retail markup, advertising budget, large company overhead. You win. " AND free shipping with just a $20 order...very cool. Good to hear about these vs. Smartwools PhDs, which I really like. I'm in for 3 drops.

DannyMilksI bought three pair of of smartwool socks and they are very poor quality. In less that four hikes they (all) have holes. They are dumb socks and I am very disappointed. These socks seem like good value as you point out and I will purchase a bunch too.

DannyMilksYou say here that there is a three-pack of black only but I was not able to find such among the options. I've ordered two bag but would love to replace one with an all black if I could. Just to get black I had to order it with Oatmeal which I did not want. Thanks for any help/info. Vince
