One of the best headphones i have used for enjoying music. Better base rendering than my previous favourites(AUDEZE LCD-2,Sennheiser HD 600/650,Ultrasone 900 pro,MDR Z7 etc.)
However the cable broke within 4 weeks of use, which was disappointing in such an expensive product.
adeadcrabThanks adeadcrab for your comment. Now there’s a small sense of satisfaction I am not the only one hard done by!😂😂😂
I had to break open the moulding on one of the connectors, cut the broken wire and resoldered the lead. I don’t know how long it will last! If you chance upon a good affordable replacement lead which doesn’t mess with the sound, please share and I shall be grateful.
Warm regards and happy hunting for the cable!
ayurmonkRead through all the reviews and discussion page for the Elex here on Drop, there's a fair few cases of it happening.
Periapt make decent quality cables at a lower price point than the high end cables that cost hundreds, the one for the Elex connector is here -

I'm thinking of getting one terminated in XLR, and ask them to make an XLR->1/4 adapter cable so I can use single ended output without getting a second cable.
ayurmonkBoth cables broke for me. The XLR cable broke in 6 months and the 1/4" broke in 2 weeks! The headphones are AMAZING, but the cables are absolute garbage.
The fact the cables are super stiff as well, may have led to the connections breaking. Horrible cables.
Since I live in Canada, replacement cables ordered over the internet will cost me almost $150 USD! I agree, for such a premium product, the cables should be SIGNIFICANTLY better.
