Well made and most importantly, the Elex sounds great. I alternate between the Elex and the HE-560v2 for music, different flavours of sound but I find myself reaching for the Elex more often than not :) My headphones are paired with an AudioGD R2R DAC

My Elex is now paired with a fully balanced DAC/Amp set up, AudioGD's R2R-R1 and NFB1-AMP. The Elex has even better dynamics & sound on the balanced connection, worth the upgrade from my previous single ended AGD R2R-11.
I have also had the opportunity to spend some time listening to music through a Focal Utopia on a AGD HE-9 amp, and i loved it. The Elex is clearly just a little brother to the Utopia, but that makes the price point and sound quality of the Elex all the more apparent. Happy days if you have gear that pairs well to bring the best out of the Elex :)

A few hundred hours of music and gaming on the Elex now, and they remain my favourite. LCD2C, NightOwl Carbon, HE-560v2 and K7xx only get sparing use ;)

DJ2ndfar more musical and dynamic than the K7xx. However, the AKGs have the wider soundstage... i only use the K7xx for gaming as I have more enjoyable gear for music
kjlinghey i have the 712's as well. how do they compare to the elex? im thinking of getting an audiogd NFB-29 which is the single ended version of the NFB-28. think that would have been an upgrade from the ODAC?

StopItGetSomeHelpyo... per above: " [Elex is] far more musical and dynamic than the K7xx. However, the AKGs have the wider soundstage... i only use the K7xx for gaming as I have more enjoyable gear for music " If you are looking at AGD, I would steer you towards their R2R range based on my own preferences haha.
kjlingi imagine you play a lot of games that has a well mastered audio creating a good stage for wide headphones since you chose the akg's even though it doesnt reproduce sound as pleasently as the elex if i understood you correctly, i still thought you'd be using the elex for gaming still just because of that if thats actually the case, but perhaps you could elaborate on it for me. also, very nice seeing audio enthusiasts that are also hardcore into gaming. id jack you off just for a chance to listen to your gear, brilliant. do you have a Discord?
