not the worst, but boring to my ears.
i, like many others, had some problems with driver clipping at slightly higher than normal listening volume which concerned me, but that wasn't the only reason for me returning them.
i'll try to keep this review short and to the point. though many people absolutely love focal headphones, i can't say i'm a fan. i've tried everything in focal's lineup from the elex to the utopia, and even though they are all extremely technically proficient in terms of detail, imaging, and dynamics, they all just sound boring and don't make my feet tap or head bob. in my time of owning the elex, they're the kind of headphone you use when you want to analyze music, not jam out.
it's 100% preference, but i personally like headphones that are more fun than these. i'm not saying that the elex did anything wrong, but it could've done some things much better.
