Just had mine went dead on the left driver, and I have only used it for perhaps 15 times since I received mine in Feb of this year. I have used it very gently and carefully, this is quite disappointing. How do I contact them to return or repair it?

orresearchIf you wouldn't mind, could you try swapping plugs at the earcup ends (plug left into right, right into left) to verify it isn't a bad cable? I've seen some people report flaky cabling and am wondering (hoping) a bad driver is not as common as it seems.

AntlionThanks for your comments. Yes I have tried that, and everything else - swapping L/R, trying different sets of cables, to identify that it was not cable related. Left channel suddenly went dead silent and I was not yanking at the cable or doing anything strange.

orresearchThat's disappointing. I was really interested in these myself, but the price seems a little high if so many are functioning like timed rentals. At any rate, I found a Drop support link here. https://drop.com/support The "Help with my order" option seems like the best match (you can specify the issue in the field below). Good luck with the return!

AntlionThanks again for your kind thoughts. I sent them an email, and got an email reply saying responses slowed due to covid, which is understandable.
orresearchThe Elex comes with a 2-year warranty from Focal. You can register your Elex on the Focal website and you'll get a warranty certificate from them. You'll need your S/N of the headphones (found printed under the one of the pads...sorry can't remember which one). If Drop doesn't accommodate then I'm sure Focal will support you.

orresearchIt is kind of interesting that I bought the unit thinking to myself that bad luck shouldn't occur to me. Then the problem occurred, and I realize how annoying the whole thing is. I still haven't gotten any answer from Drop.

orresearchAhhh, same thing happened to me today - no sound from left ear. I also tested the cable. Will be attempting the warranty process as well.
orresearchthe same had happened to me but it was the cable, specifically the 1/4. I head a lot about this & thought it happened to me until I moved the cable in a certain angle & heard the audio pop back in & got it to stay, it was like a messed up charger that you have to have in a certain way but after getting a new cable it works as supposed to & the balance cable hasn’t given up yet so idk if mine was only the cable or other peoples too & they’re blaming the headphone itself
